Apple has just revealed new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros that feature the latest and most advanced Apple silicon chips, called the M2 Pro and M2 Max.

The latest MacBook Pros are not a major upgrade when compared to the models that were unveiled in October 2021, but they do have several notable new features and improvements. Here are five of the most noteworthy things to know about the new Mac laptops.
◉ The Space Gray version of the new MacBook Pro now comes with a MagSafe charging cable that matches the color of the device. In the past, Space Gray models were shipped with a silver MagSafe cable.
◉ The new MacBook Pros not only have new chips, but also an updated HDMI port, which supports HDMI 2.1. This new HDMI version allows the MacBook Pro to connect to a display with up to 8K resolution and a refresh rate of 60Hz.
◉ The new 16-inch MacBook Pro has the longest battery life ever seen in a Mac, thanks to the advanced performance of the M2 Pro and M2 Max. It offers up to 22 hours of battery life.
◉ The previous models of MacBook Pro were only able to support up to 64GB of unified memory. However, with the new M2 Max chip, customers can now configure their MacBook Pro with a maximum of 96GB of RAM.
◉ The new MacBook Pros are available for pre-order starting today on Apple's online store. They start at $1,999. The updated MacBook Pros and Mac mini will be delivered to customers on January 24th.
