The American company, SpaceX, has announced the launch of a new service called the "Global Roaming Service" through the Starlink system which provides internet access through its satellites. The service is currently being tested and will offer internet access to users around the world.
According to the Verge, SpaceX has started testing a new feature called the "Global Roaming Service" or GRS through the Starlink system to provide internet access to users worldwide. Starlink has informed its users that the GRS service will cost $200 per month in addition to the basic Starlink equipment which costs $599.
In its message to users, Starlink has stated that internet speeds via the new service will be high but there may be periods of interrupted or reduced connectivity. However, the service is expected to improve significantly over time.
As the company's services are not currently available in all countries, Starlink is working to obtain regulatory approvals to operate the service in several additional countries such as India, Pakistan, and Cambodia.
